IT & Data Platform Engineer

Build the data and IT foundation for a portfolio of product and engineering projects

About the role

We build software and engineering systems for regulated, real-world operations. You will work across our portfolio — a compliance assessment platform, UAV integration and flight-test work, and other engineering projects — where the data and infrastructure needs change from project to project.

What you will do

  • Design and run the data flows a project needs: capture, validation, storage, transformation, reporting, and export
  • Build and maintain relational data models and SQL; keep queries fast and data traceable
  • Build reporting and dashboards where we own them; integrate with partner-owned analysis where we do not
  • Set up and maintain the environments projects run on: Linux servers, containers, cloud services, storage and backups, networks, edge devices, and CI/CD
  • Set security and access baselines: identity, secrets, least privilege, data protection, retention, monitoring, and incident response
  • Coordinate with external partners and client IT; document interfaces, handovers, and operating procedures
  • Provide technical oversight for data and IT workstreams: review designs and code, set standards, and track milestones
  • Support daily operations and ensure each new project starts from a documented, repeatable base

What you bring

  • Strong SQL and Python, with experience building ETL or ELT pipelines
  • Solid PostgreSQL: schema design, queries, performance, and data integrity
  • Hands-on Linux and container experience, plus storage, backups, restore, and networking fundamentals
  • Cloud or on-prem/VPS experience (Cloudflare, Supabase, AWS/Azure/GCP, or similar)
  • CI/CD and infrastructure automation (GitHub Actions, Terraform/Ansible, or similar)
  • Security and access management, including data protection and retention
  • Reporting or dashboard experience (Metabase, Superset, Power BI, or a custom web module)
  • Able to review other developers' work and explain technical decisions to clients and non-technical colleagues
  • Comfortable coordinating external vendors and partner engineering teams
  • Full professional fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, written and spoken

Nice to have

  • Geospatial and sensor data: PostGIS, GDAL, GeoJSON, point clouds, imagery
  • Embedded and edge systems: Raspberry Pi, sensors, ground stations, MQTT/Modbus
  • Systems engineering: requirements, interfaces, integration, and verification
  • Document or report generation pipelines (PDF/DOCX, templates, ZIP packaging)
  • GPU/ML environments for partner AI workloads
  • Comfort supporting occasional field or test-site work
